Balor is a founder-led, social-first creative studio built in rural Wales on the belief that clarity is found when we lean into the chaos — not when we try to escape it.
We work with founders, cultural organisations, freelancers and mission-led teams who are building things that matter. Our role is to help those ideas evolve from intention into impact, using a blend of creative thinking, strategic structure and data-led insight.
Balor was born from a deep connection to place and a fascination with how ideas grow. Our founder, Meg Griffiths, grew up in rural Wales surrounded by strong community, language, landscape and shared memory. Culture wasn’t something you visited; it was something you lived inside. That grounding now combines with Meg’s scientific mindset: a love of patterns, systems, experimentation and growth.
Today, Balor approaches creativity like a living ecosystem. We test, refine, learn and build — using evidence as much as instinct, and structure as much as imagination. We don’t just make things look good. We make them work.
We believe culture, language and creativity are not decorative. They are fundamental to who we are, how we belong, and how future generations will understand themselves. When that belief is combined with data-driven decision making, long-term thinking and human storytelling ~ you get Balor.
